«ECO ART», an exhibition of modern fine art

The Museum Centre Art Gallery, in association with the Baku Creative Centre, will delight its visitors with a new exhibition, held as part of the Baku Galleries Festival 2013 and dedicated to Earth Day, from 19-21 April 2013.
The project’s purpose is to assemble creative personalities in a common space, develop the interest of ordinary people in art and, finally, to inaugurate a regular celebration of art for connoisseurs.
It is no coincidence that the Museum Centre Art Gallery has prepared an exhibition with an ecological theme. Ecology is an issue that touches each of us, without exception. This theme has sparked great interest in many artists and stimulated them to create new works on the topic. Most of the artists have created new works for this exhibition.
The following will be displayed: Sabir Choporoghlu’s paintings from the series Karabakh, Ilham Mirzayev’s Molecules, Vugar Ali’s Dream of Nature, Isa Mammadov’s Baku Dachas, Etibar Mamiyev’s Lone House, Sana Samedov’s Black Sun, Natig Farajullazade’s Abandoned House, Farhad Farzaliyev’s Fiery Death, Olga El’s Son, Elshan Sarkhanoghlu’s Bridges, Salim Ismayilov’s Tuatara, Amrulla Israfilov’s Panorama and other paintings; Mehriban Efendi’s graphic work Light in the Darkness; sculptures, Faig Hajiyev’s Waiting for the Wind, Vadim Knyazikhin’s Flight Over the Gulf; Photo compositions, Farid Khayrullin’s series Ecology of Absheron, Ruslan Mammadov’s Planet Azerbaijan, Lala Lambert-Aghayeva and Greg Skehan; Tatian Aghababayeva’s batik Coming-Going; Eldar Ibadullayev’s installation Fish and, specially made for this project, a huge art-object Fish-Bird, by a guest of our city, the well-known Russian Theatre Artist and specialist in art mechanics from St-Petersburg, Viktor Grigoryev.
