An exhibition-seminar was held on 5 and 6 May 2011 in the Museum Centre. It was organized by the Scientific Methodological Centre of Cultural Studies of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, displayed works by applied and fine artists and was dedicated to the 88th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev’s birth. 150 works by more than 70 artists from 50 districts were on show. The works included paintings, graphics, carpets and carpet products, miniatures, sculpture, needlework and tekelduz embroidery. Participants in the exhibition-seminar included representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Union of Artists, embassies and other organizations; they discussed national leader Heydar Aliyev’s tireless attention and care for Azerbaijan’s art and culture.
