Presentation of Elchin Efendiyev’s book “Ilyas Efendiyev. A life that cannot be contained within a poem”

On the 16th of March at the Assembly Hall of Museum Center was held the presentation of the Elchin Efendiyev’s book “Ilyas Efendiyev. A life that cannot be contained within a poem”.
This book, a project of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, has been published at the Tahsil publishing house in beautiful format. The designer and editor of the book, dedicated to the 20th century classic writer of Azerbaijan literature, People’s Writer Ilyas Efendiyev, is Gunay Efendiyeva. As the title suggests, the book contains verses devoted to the unforgettable writer, as well as the memories of well-known people and valuable photographs. The book, which opens with the thoughts of national leader Heydar Aliyev about Ilyas Efendiyev, has a prologue by Gunay Efendiyeva and an article “A life that cannot be contained within a poem” by People’s Writer Elchin, followed by verses written by Suleyman Rustam, Gabil, Nariman Hasanzade, Fikret Goja, Zalimkhan Yagub, Chingiz Alioghlu, Ramiz Rovshen, Vagif Bahmanli, Agajafar Hasanli, Tofiq Nureli and others. A deep respect and love for the art and individuality of Ilyas Efendiyev is expressed in these verses. In order to complete a bright, poetic image of the writer, it is illustrated by the works of artists, theatre sketches and other artistic photographs and paintings.
