The establishment of the Azerbaijan State Art Academy ten years ago added many new talented young people to the list of artists in Azerbaijan. The alumni of the Academy, as well as the alumni of the Azerbaijan State University of Arts and Culture, have successfully participated in many exhibitions, demonstrating their talent, knowledge and skills. The alumni of the Academy lead an creative, working lifestyle and endeavour to enrich our fine arts with new works. An exhibition of Azerbaijani artists called “X point…” will be organized from 8-14 November 2010 at the Museum Centre. In order to support a group of promising artists who have already completed their youthful training and who are now embarking independently onto their artistic journey, and presenting their works to a larger audience.
The opening of the exhibition will take place at the Art Gallery of the Museum Centre on 8 November 2010 at 17:00.
Works by the following artists will be displayed in the exhibition: Anar Huseynzade, Adil Yusif, Leyla Nasibova, Zarnishan Alqayeva, Ramina Saadatkhan, Reshad Babayev, Ferhad Yalquzaq, Elmir Huseynov, Butunay Haqverdiyev, Mahmud Rustamov, Mammad Rashidov, Huseyn Baghirov, Nazim Shah and Gunduz Aghayev.
These artists are intent on making serious progress and gaining even more success. Conceptually, the highest purpose of their art is not so clear to them yet. They are in search of creativity. They go forward by constantly working on themselves. But the point they want to reach and hold, is yet unknown. That is why the exhibition is called “X-point…”. The title is taken from the work by Anar Huseynzade of the same name and it explains conceptually the main essence of an exhibition consisting mainly of abstract works.
