On 20 October 2010 a seminar on “Improvement of exposition work in museums” was conducted in the Assembly hall of the Museum Centre on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism’s Scientific-Methodological Centre for Culturology.
Representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Scientific Centre for the Restoration of Museum Items, the Nizami Ganjavi National Museum of Literature, the R. Mustafayev State Museum of Arts, the State University of Culture and Arts, as well as heads and employees of museums, attended the seminar.
During the seminar, lectures including “The meaning of museum work in the development of the culture of Azerbaijan”, “Some special features of the organization of expositions in historical-ethnographic museums”, “The content of the exposition and the organization of the work of the foundation”, “Scientific and historical principles behind the expositions of the N. Ganjavi National Azerbaijan Museum of Literature” etc. were delivered.
The main purpose of the seminar was the acquisition of new knowledge on the idea, content and peculiarities of organizing expositions, while adhering to scientific and historical principles.
