Exhibition – “Islamic Values in the Works of Amateur Artists and Masters of Decorative Folk Art”

As scheduled by the Scientific Methodology Centre of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, on 13 November 2009 the Museum Centre Art Gallery opened an exhibition on the theme "Islamic Values in the Works of Amateur Artists and Masters of Decorative Folk Art". Present at the opening ceremony were representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Union of Artists of Azerbaijan and regional Departments of Culture.
The Scientific Methodology Centre had established a working group to organise exhibitions in different cities of Azerbaijan: from 12-14 October 2009 in Lenkoran, from 16-17 October in Shirvan, from 20-21 October in Sheki, from 21-25 October in Guba, from 27-28 October in Ganja and from 30-31 October in Sumgayit.
Finally, 200 of the 300 works were selected and brought to Baku.
